Huon Aquaculture has seven sea farms at different locations on the Huon River and in the D’Entrecasteaux Channel in Southern Tasmania.

The sea farm sites have been selected to provide optimal conditions for salmon at different growth stages, from the acclimatisation of smolt in brackish water to the oceanic conditions that provide an ideal environment for the health and growth of older fish.

The high quality of the water in the Huon and Channel waterways as well as the strategic balance of the sites at different points in the river and estuary means that Huon Aquaculture Company’s sites are among the best sea farming locations in the world.
