On farm development and implementation of the Aquasmart feeding system, a computerised regulation of feeding regime that adapts feed output to fish appetite through the use of state of the art underwater sensing technology. Designed in Tasmania then developed and commercialised on Huon Aquaculture farms, the Aquasmart system is now exported to major international aquaculture operations. We were also the first company to use sophisticated underwater video capabilities to monitor feeding behaviour.



Development of the world’s largest live fish pump with a purpose-built grader and electronic counter. The triple-barrel pump is unique to Huon Aquaculture.



Design and construction of a fish race for passive bathing and handling of fish with minimal stress – also unique to Huon Aquaculture Company.
