Our Co-founder and owner Frances Bender has been nominated for a Pride of Australia Medal in the environment category. The nomination recognises Frances’ constant commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in conjunction with Co-owner and husband Peter Bender.
Featured in The Mercury over the weekend, Frances spoke to the benefits of working in such a beautiful part of the world in southern Tasmania.
‘We love the environment we work in,” Frances said. “We have an abundance of wildlife in our working area. Not many offices have a pair of wedge tails, a pair of sea eagles, dolphins, whales, seals and, at one stage, a family of Tasmanian devils living under the office.”
“Peter and I have always worked to ensure that sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do because we know that the environment is the key to a healthy business and being able to produce world class Atlantic salmon and Ocean trout.”
“Being nominated for a Pride of Australia Medal is a great honour, I am always humbled to know that there are people in the community supporting us.”
