Huon Aquaculture currently holds Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification for Storm Bay until 19 March 2020 and for Flathead Bay until 29 May 2020. As part of the ongoing certification of our farms, the following notice is for the upcoming audit of Zuidpool in October 2017.

Open letters to Huon Salmon buyers. 

The purpose of this open letter is to ensure that our buyers are aware of important aspects of Huon’s farming practices by providing information relating to:

  • Genetically modified stock;
  • Transgenic (GM) plant raw material in the feed;
  • Medications used in production in freshwater and marine sites; and
  • Hormone usage.

Huon proactively provides this information as part of its commitment to transparency and to assist in informed decision making by our buyers.

Zuidpool 16YC Estimated Unexplained Gain 0.98%*

*As of 26 September 2017.

The unexplained gain and loss as mentioned above are within the margin of error.
