Online Community Guidelines

Huon has numerous social media pages including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Pinterest.

Our pages are for people to interact and ask questions about our farm, our salmon, our products, the communities we support and food in Tasmania and beyond.

We’re a family owned and operated business so please keep all communication family friendly. We don’t mind complaints or hard questions that allow us to help but please keep your language respectful.

We reserve the right to hide or remove comments that we deem as trolling (starting quarrels or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in our online communities (such as a newsgroup, forum, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or blog) with the intent of provoking other community members into an emotional response or otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion, often for the troll’s amusement). Repeated breaches of these guidelines will result in a person being blocked from the relevant page.

Posts, comments and other interactions within our online communities (such as a newsgroup, forum, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or blog) that are deemed to be hate speech (explicit or implied) including bigotry, racism or being prejudiced against individuals or groups due to their religion, sexual orientation or otherwise, will be removed. Repeated breaches of these guidelines will result in a person being blocked from the relevant page.

Any personal issues or matters posted to our pages that are deemed to be outside of the subject areas mentioned above will be removed. Repeated breaches of these guidelines will result in a person being blocked from the relevant page.

Apart from that we hope your visit is rewarding. If there is anything else that we can help with please just post your query on the relevant page or send us a private message. You can also contact us through this website.

Thanks for continuing to share your phenomenal stories and brilliant food recipes and photos with us!
