Huon Salmon Lemon Pasta

This particular recipe is one from the brilliant Ben Milbourne, created for The Food Lab.

It’s a beautifully simple take on smoked salmon pasta, and the perfect showcase for our very own Premium Wood Roasted Salmon.

We just love bringing salmon pasta dishes to life with citrus and a touch of heat. The Dijon mustard and chilli flakes cut through and bring a lovely complex taste to what is otherwise a delightfully simple dish.

Huon Salmon Lemon Pasta

  • 250g spaghetti
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 250g Huon Premium Wood Roasted Salmon
  • 3 tbsp creme fraiche
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Juice of a lemon
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • Pinch of chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 1 tbsp lemon oil
  • Fresh dill, to serve

    In a pot of boiling water add spaghetti along with a generous pinch of salt. Cook until pasta is soft.

    In a bowl combine salmon pieces, Dijon mustard, crème fraiche, lemon juice, ½ diced red onion, capers and chili flakes.

    Once the pasta is cooked, remove from the heat and strain. Return to the pot along with lemon oil. Add in the salmon mixture and mix together.

    Serve with fresh dill and remaining red onion
